Engine Management
What do I do if my engine management light comes on?
The engine management light may come on when you turn on the ignition but should then immediately go back off. It’s connected to your car’s engine control unit (ECU) and is often the first indicator that there’s a problem in one of the many systems within the car.
If the engine management light doesn’t go off, the only thing you can really do to find out what’s causing this is to come into Crowdens Garage. We have state-of-the-art equipment at our workshop in Maidenhead, which connects to your car’s ECU and helps us to pinpoint exactly what the problem is, that way we can get it sorted for you quickly and accurately. Once the fault has been repaired, we reset the ECU so that the engine management light goes off.
Crowdens Garage is proud to be associated with some of the motoring industry’s leading national and international organisations, including Bosch. Being a Bosch Car Service Centre means our workmanship, reliability, and trustworthiness are recognised. We also have connections with leading suppliers such as Pagid, which enable us to provide high-quality services and first-class results.
